The project comprised the construction of a new
printing plant incorporating a press hall and mailroom, general
storage, platemaking, control rooms, plantrooms, offices and
staff cafeteria, with a floor area of approximately 6,240m2.
There was also an extensive administrative area for the CEO
which was finished to a very high specification. Associated
development included site roadways, truck manoeuvring areas,
delivery and dispatch docks, parking, water supply and drainage,
external fenced compound, sprinkler tank and pumphouse, landscaping,
and surface water retention pond. The contract required that
6 separate specialist contractors were co-ordinated to carry
out their work independently during the construction of the
new facility. |
