The John
Paul Group was founded in 1949. John Paul Construction, a wholly owned
subsidiary, is the Group's flagship company and is today one of the
country’s foremost building contractors. |
| During its 50 years
of existence, John Paul Construction has had a proud association with
the Cork Region. In the early years it completed major civil engineering
projects such as the Lee Hydroelectric Scheme, Cork Airport and Fenit
Harbour. It also completed manufacturing facilities at Little Island
and Carrigtwohill. During the intake of natural gas from the Kinsale
gas field, John Paul’s constructed the new facility at the ESB
Marina PowerStation. |
| In 1998 the Cork office
was reopened and is now based in Euro Business Park, Little Island
in larger purpose fitted offices. These offices are computer networked
and linked via leased line to the company’s Head Office. They
have provision for significant growth of the management team. |
| The area’s management
and staff all reside in the Cork region. The office has the in-house
capacity to estimate, procure and contract manage (including cost
control) all its projects. |
| The firm and its people
are committed to the long-term development of its Cork operations
to ensure the level of client satisfaction that is synonymous with
its reputation throughout the country. |
